About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Scientist to join our Value-to-Market (V2M) team within the Scent Technology and Innovation department at International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to V2M projects, commercial, and customer requests, driving short-term innovations that answer consumer needs.
  • Collaborate with Perfumers, Commercial, and Operations teams to build technical and consumer insights, create, and deliver innovative technologies and optimum scent solutions to customers in the Fabric Care category.
  • Define the optimum test set-up, execute, and translate learnings into insights and recommendations for the relevant team.
Requirements
  • Result-driven and proven track record in problem-solving.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and has a solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal communication, and writing skills.
  • Design of experiment (DoE) knowledge.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Efficient planning and project management skills.
  • Experience in product application/development.
  • Experience working in fragrance/flavor or fast-moving consumer goods industry.
  • Broad chemistry knowledge (organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, colloid chemistry, surfactants, rheology, etc.).
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge on consumer good formulations, polymer, surfactant.
  • Good olfactory evaluation skills.
  • IP knowledge.
Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in science & Technology, Chemical engineering, or related discipline.

Proven track record in problem-solving. Some experience in the chemical, consumer goods, or fragrance industry would be desirable.
