Account Executive - Fragrance Ingredients

If so, this position is an excellent opportunity for you to become a vital part of a proactive and skilled global team as our new Account Executive - Fragrance Ingredients. This role provides a platform for you to significantly influence our ambitious sales growth strategies while acquiring a unique skill set through the development and servicing of new clientele.

As the Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be to identify and cultivate opportunities within the IFF Fragrance Ingredients portfolio, extending beyond conventional fragrance sectors. You will play a key role in formulating commercial strategies and executing them to foster sustainable, profitable sales and enhance market share within our Fragrance Ingredients division. In addition to new business development, you will also manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring strong connections and leading IFF initiatives while promoting relevant IFF Fragrance Ingredient solutions. A customer-centric approach is essential, as is the ability to forge a robust internal network to leverage product expertise, research and development capabilities, operations, and sales.

Your responsibilities will also include providing precise sales forecasts to support operational planning and financial analysis.

Reporting Structure

You will report to the Senior Account Manager, Fragrance Ingredients.

Qualifications

About You...

  • You have a genuine passion for sales, coupled with a keen interest in specialty chemicals, and the ability to foster and maintain exceptional customer relationships, backed by a solid chemistry foundation.
  • Your strengths lie in learning agility, strategic thinking, action orientation, perseverance, results-driven focus, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Your expertise encompasses strong organizational and planning capabilities, along with the ability to implement best practices and processes.

Essential Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in Science is highly regarded.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience, preferably within the specialty chemical industry, including contributions to sales strategy development and execution.
  • Exceptional listening and presentation skills; you are a dependable team player who embraces challenges, seeks to build new revenue streams, and enjoys exploring uncharted territories.
  • A confident, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional, capable of building trust both internally and externally by fulfilling commitments and positively impacting customers.
