Account Executive - Fragrance Ingredients

If so, this is an excellent opportunity for you to become a vital part of a dynamic and experienced global team as our new Account Executive - Fragrance Ingredients. This position will empower you to significantly influence our ambitious sales growth strategies while acquiring a unique skill set through the development and servicing of new clientele.

As the new Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate opportunities for the IFF Fragrance Ingredients portfolio, extending beyond conventional fragrance sectors. You will play a crucial role in shaping commercial strategies and executing them to foster sustainable, profitable sales and enhance market share within our Fragrance Ingredients division. In addition to pursuing new business, you will also manage existing client relationships, ensuring strong connections and leading IFF initiatives while promoting relevant IFF Fragrance Ingredient solutions. It is essential to build a robust internal network to leverage product expertise, research and development capabilities, operations, and sales.

Your role will also involve providing precise sales forecasts to facilitate operations planning and financial analysis.

Reporting Structure

You will report to the Senior Account Manager, Fragrance Ingredients.

Qualifications

About You...

  • You possess a genuine passion for sales, a keen interest in specialty chemicals, and the ability to foster and maintain exceptional customer relationships, backed by a strong chemistry background.
  • Your strengths include learning agility, strategic thinking, action orientation, perseverance, results-driven focus, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • You have demonstrated strong organizational and planning capabilities, along with the ability to implement best practices and processes.

Essential Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in Science is a valuable asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience, preferably in the specialty chemical industry, including contributions to sales strategy development, prioritization, and execution.
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills; you are a dependable team player who embraces challenges, seeks to build new revenue streams, and enjoys exploring new possibilities.
  • A confident, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional, capable of building trust both internally and externally by consistently delivering on commitments and positively impacting customers.
