As a key member of our Process Technology group, you will play a crucial role in creating value through innovation by exploring, developing, and optimizing processes for our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute projects to design and optimize new or existing processes, ensuring sustainability and efficiency.
- Lead the generation of process alternatives and define the approach for techno-economic and sustainability evaluation.
- Develop, validate, and optimize mechanistic and/or (semi-)empirical models of Unit Operations to accurately represent underlying process phenomena.
- Support research, engineering, and operation by leading tailor-made (dynamic) modelling efforts to assess the impact of process deviations or address non-steady state conditions.
- Reinforce and grow Sustainable Process Design competence by improving visibility and applications within Corbion.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a passion for innovation and improvement, knowledge generation, and learning. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of work experience focusing on applying modelling tools for Process Design and Development within a relevant Process Industry field.
- Ability to understand relevant physico-chemical phenomena, define mathematical frameworks, and program solutions in adequate software.
- Proficiency in equation-based modelling software, preferably gPROMS software.
- Experience in performing techno-economic evaluations and unit operation design.
- Strong conceptual thinking skills, complemented by good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proactive person, committed to deliver on promises, and a team player with intercultural sensitivity awareness.
