Senior Biochemical Process Design Specialist

Job Summary:
Corbion is seeking a talented Senior Biochemical Process Design Specialist to join our Process Technology group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing new and existing processes, leveraging your expertise in biochemical process design and development.
About the Role:
In this role, you will:
- Execute projects and workstreams to steer the design and optimization of new or existing processes
- Take an active role in generating process alternatives and defining the approach, necessary model infrastructure, and simulations for techno-economic and sustainability evaluation
- Develop, validate, and optimize mechanistic and/or semi-empirical models of unit operations to accurately represent underlying process phenomena and assess impact on equipment and overall process design
- Support research, engineering, and operations by leading tailor-made modeling efforts, for example, to assess the impact of process deviations or address non-steady state conditions on plant operation
- Reinforce and grow sustainable process design competence by improving visibility and applications within Corbion
About You:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Process Design Specialist with a passion for innovation and improvement, knowledge generation, and learning. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of work experience focusing on applying modeling tools for process design and development within a relevant process industry field. In addition, you will have proficiency in equation-based modeling software, preferably gPROMS software, and experience in performing techno-economic evaluations.
