Senior Biochemical Process Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biochemical Process Design Specialist to join our Process Technology group at Corbion's Innovation Center in Gorinchem. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating value through innovation by exploring, developing, and optimizing processes for our core business units.
Responsibilities- Execute projects to steer the design and optimization of new or existing processes
- Develop and validate mechanistic and/or (semi-)empirical models of Unit Operations to accurately represent underlying process phenomena
- Support research, engineering, and operation by leading tailor-made (dynamic) modelling efforts
- Reinforce and grow Sustainable Process Design competence by improving visibility and applications within Corbion
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a passion for innovation and improvement, knowledge generation, and learning. You should have a strong background in biochemical process design, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant Process Industry field.
Key qualifications include:
- Proficiency in equation-based modelling software, preferably gPROMS software
- Experience in performing techno-economic evaluations
- Experience in unit operation design and overall process design
- Strong conceptual thinking skills, complemented by good analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proactive person, committed to deliver on promises
- Team player, interested in working in multi-disciplinary project teams
