About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biochemical Process Design Specialist to join our team at Corbion. As a key member of our Process Technology group, you will play a crucial role in creating value through innovation by exploring, developing, and optimizing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute projects to steer the design and optimization of new or existing processes
  • Develop and validate mechanistic and/or (semi-)empirical models of Unit Operations to accurately represent underlying process phenomena
  • Support research, engineering, and operation by leading tailor-made modelling efforts
  • Reinforce and grow Sustainable Process Design competence by improving visibility and applications within Corbion
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a passion for innovation and improvement, knowledge generation, and learning. You will have a strong background in biochemical process design and development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant Process Industry field.

You will be proficient in equation-based modelling software, preferably gPROMS software, and have experience in performing techno-economic evaluations. You will also have a strong understanding of unit operation design and overall process design, as well as experience in use of computer-aided process engineering to support Operations and Engineering efforts.
