Biochemical Process Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Design Specialist to join our Process Technology group at Corbion's Innovation Center in Gorinchem. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating value through innovation by exploring, developing, and optimizing processes.
Responsibilities- Lead projects to design and optimize new or existing processes, focusing on sustainability and efficiency.
- Develop and validate mechanistic and/or (semi-)empirical models of Unit Operations to accurately represent process phenomena.
- Support research, engineering, and operation by leading dynamic modeling efforts to assess process deviations and non-steady state conditions.
- Reinforce and grow Sustainable Process Design competence by improving visibility and applications within Corbion.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a passion for innovation and improvement. You will have a strong background in Process Technology, with emphasis on developing and applying process modeling tools for process design.
- At least 5 years of industrial work experience in Process Technology.
- Ability to understand physico-chemical phenomena and define mathematical frameworks for solution.
- Proficiency in equation-based modeling software, preferably gPROMS software.
- Experience in techno-economic evaluations, (bio-)process design, and unit operation selection and design.
