Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of our groundbreaking rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing device, KAIROS IVD. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for generating and developing new data analysis tools and algorithms to inform and accelerate diagnostic product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development to generate relevant data for algorithm training
  • Lead data analysis of large and complex datasets, including clinical data and reference data
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights and inform diagnostic product development
  • Develop and refine algorithms and models for data analysis, interpretation, and predictive analytics
  • Engineer relevant features from raw data to enhance model performance
  • Validate models and algorithms using appropriate validation techniques
  • Create clear and informative data visualizations to communicate results to stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, bioinformatics, or a related field
  • 2 years' experience in a similar function
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Familiarity with data management and preprocessing techniques
  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms
  • Ability to create clear and informative data visualizations
  • Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn or TensorFlow
  • Experience with handling large-scale datasets and databases
  • Domain knowledge in in-vitro diagnostics, including biomarkers, assay technologies, and clinical applications
  • Good communication skills to non-technical stakeholders
