Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of our groundbreaking rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing device, KAIROS IVD. As an R&D Analyst, you will be responsible for the assessment of proprietary assays with various samples, including infectious material.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct R&D: testing various assays with a variety of samples
  • Experimental Design: designing, planning experiments, and developing experimental protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
  • Data collection: collecting data according to established protocols, recording experimental observations, measurements, and results in a systematic and organized manner
  • Data analysis: analyzing experimental data using statistical methods and software tools to extract meaningful insights and draw conclusions
  • Troubleshooting: troubleshooting experimental issues and technical challenges, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions to ensure smooth progress of research activities
  • Documentation: documenting experimental procedures, results, and findings in laboratory notebooks, reports, and technical documents, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records
  • Collaboration: collaborating with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and clinicians, to facilitate communication and coordination of research efforts
Requirements
  • Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or HBO degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical engineering, Chemistry, or a related field

• Experience is not required, but familiarity with working in a BSL2 environment with bacteria is a must

• Fluency in English

• Passionate about working in a young company

• Well-organized with an analytical mindset

• Openness to learn about regulatory processes and how to work accordingly

  • Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in data handling, including data analysis, storage, and statistical analysis, is preferred

• A passion for innovation and a creative, out-of-the-box mindset are highly valued
