Job Summary

Nouvall Engineering Services B.V. is seeking a highly skilled Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of our employees and contractors on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating the application of prevention hierarchy principles during engineering and execution phases
• Updating the safety and health plan
• Updating the coordination file
• Updating the post-intervention dossier
• Organizing collaboration and coordination of contractors at the construction site via coordination structure meetings
• Executing walkarounds at the construction site to verify if works are executed according to legislation and project expectations
• Supporting Project, Construction and HSSE managers in resolving HSSE matters

Requirements

• Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in an appropriate discipline (mechanical, electromechanical or chemical)
• Safety Coordinator design and execution level A (Belgian Legal certificate)
• Safety Advisor Level 1 (Belgian legal certificate) is a plus
• More than 10 years' experience in HSSE roles in Major Construction Projects in Belgium
• Sound knowledge of HSSE legislation in Belgium
• Fluent Dutch and good English communication skills
• Strong planning and organizing ability
• VCA-VOL certificate is a plus
