The project focuses on the design and synthesis of new monomers, including the use of bio-based raw materials, preparation of thermosets, and elucidation of structure-property relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Design and synthesis of new monomers for thermosetting polymers
- Preparation of thermosets and characterization of their properties
- Elucidation of structure-property relationships using various techniques
- Development of novel recycling mechanisms for thermosetting polymers
- MSc degree in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, or a related discipline
- Strong background in polymer and organic chemistry
- Experience with the synthesis and characterization of polymers or organic molecules
- Excellent analytical skills, initiative, and creativity
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with industrial partners
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level)
- Full-time employment for four years with an intermediate evaluation after nine months
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities
