Asphalt Sales Manager Europe

At Nouryon, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager for our Asphalt Business in Europe. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering short- and long-term sales and profitability targets for the Asphalt Business within your assigned territory.

You will manage customer relationships, develop and execute strategies, and ensure that the business goals align with annual budgets and strategic growth plans. You will report to the Global Sales Manager.

As a key member of our European Sales team, you will identify new growth opportunities across various sales channels, contributing significantly to our Asphalt sales growth in your territory. By transforming innovative ideas into actionable plans, you will meet emerging customer needs and give input for new product development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and understanding market needs, development, and trends, competition, solutions, and products in the Asphalt markets.
  • Leading regional planning (forecasting), pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Communicating trends, opportunities, and risks clearly and in a timely manner with the sales leader.
  • Identifying, assessing, and developing potential new businesses.
  • Working within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term overall account goals in line with Nouryon's vision and values.
  • Achieving annual sales results and business growth versus an annual plan from the established markets and identifying new growth areas.
  • Establishing and building senior-level relationships with key decision makers and buyers throughout the industry.
  • Understanding and assessing customers' needs, business objectives, strategies, and building compelling customer value propositions representing our portfolio.
  • Being present at key market seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and setting a strategy together with Marketing and the Global Sales Manager on participation, presentations, etc.
  • Establishing/retaining close relationships and teamwork with other members of the European and Global Sales teams, Technical Support, and Customer Service.

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor/Master degree, preferably in Chemistry, (Civil) Engineering, and/or related field. Background with sales and/or technical customer support experience in the Chemical industry and preferably road paving/asphalt industry for at least 5 years is required. Senior-level connection in the Asphalt market is a preference. Fluency in English language, German is a plus. Strong Financial and Business Acumen is essential.
