About Damen Workboats

We are a leading manufacturer of innovative, standardized & smart-customized designs for tugs, dredgers, and workboats. Our goal is to develop, design, and construct a portfolio of vessels in the most effective and efficient manner, primarily based on series production of smart-customized standard designs.

About the Role

As a Purchaser in our Supply Chain department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a swift and seamless procurement process for predominantly standardized components. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure that materials are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
  • Embrace a teamwork-oriented approach and actively participate in team-established processes and workflows.
  • Contribute to improvement programs and events aimed at optimizing our global supply chain for goods.
  • Maintain real-time awareness of delivery statuses and update this information in our ERP program.
  • Demonstrate the ability to early identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
  • Take responsibility for complete and correct purchase info record information in our ERP system.
  • Engage in supplier performance and supplier development discussions, ensuring operational alignment with our procurement and logistics processes.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in an International Supply Chain or Procurement role, preferably in a process-driven industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with working in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Hands-on mentality, with a service-oriented approach.
