Functional Application Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Application Manager to join our team at Damen Naval. As a key member of our staff department, you will be responsible for managing functional application activities, addressing operational issues, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with solution providers for enhancements.
Key Responsibilities- Supports application use: Enhances (engineering) applications for the business.
- Develops specifications: Improves existing and new applications.
- Drives performance: Ensures smooth application execution.
- Analyzes issues: Collaborates with stakeholders.
- Reports bugs: Communicates with external suppliers.
- Advises stakeholders: Aligns on issue impact.
- Verifies solutions: Enhances functionality.
- Provides support: Assists users.
- Tests enhancements: Before deployment.
- Contributes to documentation: Training materials and guides.
- Bridges the gap between IT and business with knowledge of the business processes and IT capabilities.
- 3+ years of experience working in a similar position, preferably in a corporate environment as part of a staff department.
- Experience in application maintenance, preferably within a technical, complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management.
- Bachelor's or Master's level in IT or other relevant discipline.
- Experience with 3DX Dassault Systems or SAP is plus.
- Good command of the Dutch & English language (written & verbal).
- Excellent references and antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
- A competitive salary and 8% holiday pay.
- 27 holidays and 13 ADV days.
- Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
- PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%.
- Profit sharing based on company results.
- Working from home policy and other benefits including a bicycle plan and company fitness.
