Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Application Manager to join our team at Damen Naval. In this role, you will be responsible for managing functional application activities by addressing operational issues, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with solution providers for enhancements.

About the Role

As an IT Application Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting application use: Enhancing (engineering) applications for the business.
  • Developing specifications: Improving existing and new applications.
  • Driving performance: Ensuring smooth application execution.
  • Analyzing issues: Collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Reporting bugs: Communicating with external suppliers.
  • Advising stakeholders: Aligning on issue impact.
  • Verifying solutions: Enhancing functionality.
  • Providing support: Assisting users.
  • Testing enhancements: Before deployment.
  • Contributing to documentation: Training materials and guides.
  • Bridging the gap between IT and business with knowledge of the business processes and IT capabilities.

Requirements

To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar position, preferably in a corporate environment as part of a staff department.
  • Experience in application maintenance, preferably within a technical, complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's level in IT or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience with 3DX Dassault Systems or SAP is plus.
  • Good command of the Dutch & English language (written & verbal).
  • Excellent references as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is €60,000 per annum, based on full-time work. The compensation package includes:

  • A competitive salary and 8% holiday pay.
  • 27 holidays and 13 ADV days.
  • Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.
  • PME-pension arrangement with an employer contribution of 60%.
  • Profit sharing based on company results.
  • Working from home policy and other benefits including a bicycle plan and company fitness.
