Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Application Development Lead to join our team at Damen Shipyards. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing engineering applications to meet business needs, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with solution providers for enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance (engineering) applications by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze issues, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Communicate with external suppliers to report bugs, discuss enhancement requests, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Align stakeholders on issue impact, providing clear explanations and recommendations for resolution.
  • Assist users with application support, providing troubleshooting guidance and documentation as needed.
  • Test enhancements before deployment, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to existing workflows.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in application maintenance, preferably in a technical, complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Product Lifecycle Management experience is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's or Master's level in IT or other relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with 3DX Dassault Systems or SAP is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on analytical thinking and creative problem-solving.
