Naval Engineering Application Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Naval Engineering Application Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the engineering functionalities in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform: Teamcenter, with a special focus on the connected Teamcenter Reporting & Analytics application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate engineering business process needs into functional specifications for the application developments.
  • Analyse issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devise solutions.
  • Develop and implement application processes and functionalities.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
  • Manage interfaces between applications and Teamcenter/TCRA.
  • Maintain user access rights administration within the application.
  • Setup and configure project environments within Teamcenter and TCRA.
  • Organize application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support.
  • Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users with regards to Teamcenter.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency with Teamcenter & TCRA applications (software).
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
  • Ability to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam locations, in The Netherlands.
  • Skilled in working with Microsoft Excel and preferably good knowledge of VBA (coding).

A competitive salary is expected to be around €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
