Job Description

The Project Management Office (PMO) at Thales provides critical support to project management teams, aiming to enhance performance across the project lifecycle.

This position is a key component of our PMO department, focusing on risk and opportunity management. As a Risk and Opportunity Manager, you will be allocated to our most complex projects, providing expert guidance and practical support in risk management.

Your primary responsibilities include:

- Facilitating various types of risk and opportunity meetings (workshops, reviews, interviews)
- Performing risk management roles in our largest and most complex projects/programs
- Initiating and facilitating R&O workshops with project teams, including customers/suppliers when necessary
- Setting up and maintaining risk & opportunity registers, proactively challenging and improving input from project managers
- Developing plans to mitigate risks or secure opportunities, supporting their implementation and monitoring progress

In addition, you will work closely with the project manager and controller to monitor, review, and challenge project contingencies. You will promote effective tool usage, propose improvements for tools in global user groups, define general guidelines for risk and opportunity management, and contribute to process improvements.

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in risk and opportunity management, preferably with experience in both qualitative and quantitative practices. Your expertise should include challenging status quos at all levels within the organization, handling complex situations, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

You will thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Our ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, is able to work independently, and can navigate ambiguity. We offer a comprehensive salary package, which includes a competitive salary of approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
