Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Policy and Partnerships Development Coordinator. In this role, you will assist in engaging with policies from the Netherlands and Brussels, focusing on key areas such as conflict prevention, climate change adaptation, and food & water security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support policy research for international climate negotiations, particularly the Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance.
  • Monitor the relevant Dutch political landscape and summarize key policy documents into potential strategic opportunities for Mercy Corps.
  • Organize and coordinate Mercy Corps' contribution to external engagement events and plan communications on reports.
  • Provide administrative support, including maintaining the MCNL contact database.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled as a graduate student in international development, international relations, conflict studies, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable interest in the intersection of conflict and climate, humanitarian aid, and food & water security.
  • Familiarity with the Dutch policy and development space, with knowledge or interest in the advocacy space in the Netherlands and EU.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch (native level) and English.
