**Role Overview**

Royal IHC is seeking an engineer to develop a cost-effective method for chain tensioning on floating wind turbine platforms.

The selected candidate will work on determining the scope of work and detailing a part of the concept version of the new simplified Subsea Tension Tool.

This project offers a great opportunity to contribute to the future of the maritime industry, helping to bring down the cost of floating wind to an acceptable level.

Key responsibilities include setting up requirements for the tool, performing function analysis, and recording updates in the concept design.

Candidates should have a vocational education, knowledge of creative machinery design or mechanical engineering, and experience with 2D and 3D modeling.

We offer a competitive salary between €350,- and €425,- per month, reimbursement of travel costs, and flexible working hours.
