At Royal IHC, we are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Innovative Subsea Tension Tool Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a challenging project that will have a significant impact on the market.

The floating wind market is still in its early stages, but it is expected to grow rapidly by the end of this decade. As part of this growth, there is a need for a cost-effective method for tensioning mooring chains on floating wind turbine platforms. Our patented subsea tension tool is a game-changer in this area, and we are seeking a developer who can further enhance its capabilities.

As an Innovative Subsea Tension Tool Developer, you will be responsible for determining the scope of work and detailing a part of the concept version of the new simplified Subsea Tension Tool. Your goal will be to create a tool specification and scope of work for the concept design phase, which will then inform clients and determine an engineering scope for the next stage (basic design).

This role requires a strong background in creative machinery design or mechanical engineering, with knowledge of offshore technology and preferably mooring and/or (floating) wind turbines. You should also have experience with 2D and 3D modeling and a good command of the English language, both verbally and written.

We offer a monthly salary between €350,- and €425,- based on a full-time week, reimbursement of travel costs, guidance and freedom to explore different topics, and the opportunity to work on your assignments or thesis. Additionally, you will have flexible working hours and the possibility to work partially from home.
