Freight Operations Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freight Operations Lead to join our team at Robert Walters. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the import and export activities of our sea freight operations, reporting directly to the Sea Freight Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the import and export activities of sea freight, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Act as the central point of contact for the Freight Operations team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate individual performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct coaching and evaluation sessions to ensure team members are meeting performance expectations.
  • Participate in the management of the sea freight budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Coordinate and execute assigned projects within the Freight Operations team, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Identify and report quality issues and bottlenecks, implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Initiate and lead initiatives to improve operations, customer service, and ICT, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Analyze and present KPIs and reports, providing recommendations for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Ensure efficient communication within and outside the team, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and network partners.

What We Offer:

  • Full-time position of 40 hours per week
  • Salary between the minimum wage for 40 hours (dependent on knowledge and experience)
