About this role
We're seeking a Technician to join our Heterogeneous Catalysis R&D group in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. As a member of our international research team, you'll be responsible for operating scientific testing rigs and collecting data to support the development of new technologies in CO2 abatement and plastic circularity projects.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team in a laboratory supporting chemists and engineers in developing, screening and commercializing new products and processes.
- Operate independently and collect data on a research testing reactor.
- Manage and safely execute laboratory work requests, maintaining and running relevant laboratory apparatus and testing equipment and documenting data.
- Prepare for and independently perform standard and some non-routine procedures using relevant equipment and instruments.
- Accurately and reliably record readings and observations using relevant equipment and instruments.
- Act responsibly for calibration, safe operation, and routine maintenance of simple and moderately complex instruments or machinery.
- Maintain inventories of consumable materials, chemicals, and supplies related to activities.
- Promptly and effectively communicate issues to Technology Leader or lead scientists.
Qualifications
- Minimum a technical vocational degree MBO-4 level (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline. Bachelor degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
