Job Title: Control Engineer

Pentair Industrial Solutions is a rapidly growing business unit, and we are seeking a skilled Control Engineer to join our team in Venlo, Netherlands.

About the Role:

The Control Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced process control solutions for our customer projects. This role will involve working closely with our technology team to develop control software and ensuring the quality and timely completion of engineering projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Order Management: Active takeover of orders from sales and technology, ensuring safe design, quality of engineering, on-time delivery, and cost management.
  • Design Solutions & Order Execution: Developing functional descriptions, implementing controls in compliance with laws and standards, and creating solutions considering functional, material, HSE, and economic aspects.
  • Communication & Exchange of Information: Exchange of information with other teams and specialist departments, internal and external representation of the project, and documentation of agreements reached.
  • Documentation & Risk Assessments: Preparation of operating and maintenance instructions, customer process descriptions, and setting up functional descriptions and operation manuals.
  • Contributing Technical Knowledge: Providing process control and functionality trainings for colleagues and contributing technical knowledge to other departments and projects.
Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Control, Process, or Chemical Engineering - Master Level or equivalent qualification.
  • Expert Knowledge in Measurement techniques, Control Theory, process dynamics, and physics.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Process Engineering Software, Process Control Software & Programming Language, PLM Software, ERP Software, MS Office, and Special Calculation Tools.
  • 5 years of experience minimum as a Control Engineer or equivalent role, preferably in the Biogas industry and/or similar industries.
  • Experience working in a project team, including experience in the role of a Specialist/Expert.
  • Knowledge of relevant guidelines and norms.
  • Advanced level in the English language.
  • Independent, proactive, flexible, determined, and resilient to stress.
  • Team-player who enjoys working closely with others and thrives in a team environment.
  • Creative in finding solutions, with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills with a customer-oriented and commercial mind-set.
  • Analytical and able to maintain an overview of complex processes.
  • Willingness to work internationally and travel 15%.
