About the Position
AIG is seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Assistant to join our team. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our underwriting team in the administration of new and renewal business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the underwriting process by gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
- Support the underwriting team with administrative tasks, including data entry, document preparation, and communication with external brokers.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of insurance principles, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with underwriters to drive the use of underwriting platforms and improve office systems.
- Assist in the implementation of business plans and contribute to the development of solid working relationships with brokers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, business issues, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely service and policy issuance.
Requirements
- Dutch language proficiency is required.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles and concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software.
- Competence in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Learning agility and a growth mindset.
- Ability to anticipate client needs and act proactively.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
