About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Domain Tech Lead to join our team in Amsterdam. As a Domain Tech Lead, you will be responsible for the products, architecture, and establishing the way of working and culture in your domain. Your key responsibilities will include co-creating the RBA product roadmaps, establishing a "fast path to production", steering the vision on components & architecture, ensuring tech implementations are according to the best practices and in respect of ING's tech landscape, creating centralized domain knowledge, domain culture, and mentoring other (squad) Tech Leads.

Key Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working collaboratively in a semi-remote, globally distributed team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and strong understanding of relevant technology and product life cycles.
- Hands-on experience building complex data pipelines (e.g., in Apache Spark).
- Strong programming skills in e.g., Scala, Java, Python, or Go.
- Solid understanding of Dev Ops practices including Git, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability (ELK stack).
- Strong understanding of container-based platforms and tooling including Docker. Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Open Shift.
- Experience in designing complex IT landscapes (including governance, standards, and methodology).
- Knowledge of software and data engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Curious mindset; you are collaborative and passionate about helping others to grow and improve.
- Experience with team supervision and guidance through coaching and mentoring.
- Experience in working in the banking sector is a plus.
- A customer-centric mindset, and capability to find the perfect equilibrium between strategic planning and practical execution.
