We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at the University of Twente in the field of decentralized multiagent reinforcement learning. As a researcher, you will be part of a dynamic and international environment where you will contribute to the development of novel MARL algorithms and their applications in real-world scenarios.



**Key Responsibilities:**




  • Conduct research on decentralized MARL algorithms with equilibrium selection control
  • Develop and implement novel MARL algorithms for pricing and trading
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to study the probability of reaching different equilibria under the dynamics of provably convergent decentralized MARL algorithms
  • Characterize the impact of design choices in the algorithmic structure on these probabilities


**Your Profile:




  • You have a strong background in mathematics, theoretical computer science, or theoretical physics, with a master's degree or soon to be acquired
  • You are enthusiastic, highly motivated, and have a strong interest in the societal impact of your work
  • You have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • You are proficient in English and have a good understanding of game theory and reinforcement learning
