Physics Internship: Development of Mirror Metrology for EUV Projection Optics

ASML is seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to join our EUV Projection Group. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on the development of mirror metrology for EUV projection optics, a critical component of our EUV lithography systems.
Your AssignmentOur EUV Projection Group is responsible for the design, integration, qualification, and troubleshooting of the optical performance in the projection modules in the EUV scanners. The goal of this project is to develop mirror metrology that can determine from sensor measurements the failure mechanism in case of degradation. Your task may include simulating sensor measurements by optics degradation, developing failure mode detection algorithms, applying algorithms on machine data, and discussing results with the Optics Lifetime team.
Your ProfileTo be a match for this internship, you should have a strong background in physics or optics, be skilled in tooling like Python and/or MATLAB, have analytical thinking and be motivated to learn, and have good communication skills in English (verbal and written). This is an internship for 5 days a week with a duration of 6 to 9 months. The start date is as soon as possible.
