Damen Naval offers an exciting opportunity for a Naval Software Manager to join our team. This role involves managing software applications, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with solution providers for enhancements.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Supporting software use: Enhancing (engineering) software for the business.
  • Developing software specifications: Improving existing and new software.
  • Driving software performance: Ensuring smooth software execution.
  • Analyzing software issues: Collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Reporting software bugs: Communicating with external suppliers.
  • Advising stakeholders: Aligning on software issue impact.
  • Verifying software solutions: Enhancing software functionality.
  • Providing software support: Assisting users.
  • Testing software enhancements: Before deployment.
  • Contributing to software documentation: Training materials and guides.
  • Bridging the gap between IT and business with knowledge of business processes and IT capabilities.

We offer a competitive salary of €65,000 - €85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 8% holiday pay, 27 holidays, and a travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar position, preferably in a corporate environment as part of a staff department.
  • Experience in software maintenance, preferably within a technical, complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's level in IT or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience with 3DX Dassault Systems or SAP is a plus.
  • Good command of the Dutch & English language (written & verbal).
  • Excellent references, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required, as candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
