Introduction

ASML is seeking a highly motivated and skilled student to join our Software Infrastructure and Computer System Department as an intern. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a challenging project that involves migrating our current CI/CD pipeline to a Github action environment.

Background Information

The Software Infrastructure and Computer System Department at ASML provides high-quality software and hardware solutions to enable both internal and external clients to create products in an effective and efficient way. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining the software infrastructure that supports our lithography machines, which are used to produce integrated circuits.

Your Assignment

As an intern, you will be responsible for migrating our source code archive from ClearCase/BitBucket to Github and creating a CI/CD pipeline to automate the following tasks:

  • Build kernel/root file systems from both Linux and vxWorks archives.
  • Archive the built artifacts.
  • Trigger testbench testing on real embedded hardware.
  • Collect test results and generate test report.

In addition to this project, you will also be responsible for ensuring proper documentation of your work.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor/HBO student in Technical Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Embedded Software.
  • Experience with Python, Bash, container technology (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and the Linux development environment.
  • Experience with Software CI/CD pipeline; e.g., GitHub/GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
  • Self-starter, eager to learn, and have a structured way of working.
  • Proficient in the English language.
