Introduction

Are you a bachelor/HBO student in Technical Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Embedded Software with experience in Python and Bash? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a software engineer intern.

Background Information

The Software Infrastructure and Computer System Department (SICS) within ASML provides high-quality software and hardware solutions to enable internal and external clients to create products efficiently. As part of our team, you will contribute to the migration of our current CI/CD pipeline to a Github action environment.

Your Assignment

During this internship, you will be responsible for migrating source code archives from ClearCase/BitBucket to Github and creating a CI/CD pipeline to automate the following tasks:

  • Build kernel/root file systems from Linux and vxWorks archives.
  • Archive the built artifacts.
  • Trigger testbench testing on real embedded hardware.
  • Collect test results and generate a test report.

Apart from the technical tasks, you will also ensure proper documentation of the process.

Your Profile

To be a suitable candidate for this internship, you should have:

  • A bachelor/HBO degree in Technical Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Embedded Software.
  • Experience with Python, Bash, container technology (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and the Linux development environment.
  • Experience with software CI/CD pipelines, such as Github/Github Actions, Jenkins, etc.
  • A self-starter attitude, eagerness to learn, and a structured way of working.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
