Job Title: Chapter Lead Supply Chain Management

We are seeking a talented Chapter Lead Supply Chain Management ('SCM') to join our Digital Solutions Delivery team in Group Digital Services. As a Chapter Lead SCM, you will be responsible for (digital) IT solutions architecture, specifying, coding, testing and running and ensuring the industrialization of new IT services within the SCM field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and analyze business (process) performance improvement scans across units and identify potential improvements, embracing internal and external best practices effectively to drive operational excellence.
  • Engage with other Chapter Leads, Global process owners and business process owners to improve the use of information solutions, leverage and/or replace them.
  • Develop proposals for changes with required actions, planning and effort estimates.
  • Advise users on the correct use of available solutions via personal or virtual engagements.
  • Act as an enabler to drive change for the end-to-end solution by supporting business stakeholders and sponsors to design the best approach for rollout and adoption, governance, etc.
  • Enable a global team for the SCM domain to plan the solution delivery portfolio; specifying, coding and testing solutions while preparing the industrialization and run.
  • Coordinate with other IT leaders to align platform architectures, capabilities and the industrialization (Digital Enterprise Architecture) according to the agreed roadmap for SCM.
  • Agile team composition, talent acquisition and development. Create a future capability pipeline in close collaboration with product teams to stay in course with the SCM roadmaps, agreed services/products and budget.
  • Assist interdependent teams in synchronizing their work to create consistency and alignment on priorities within various agile teams, and the underlying technology platforms.
  • Responsible for staff supervision and customer escalations when required.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key business and technology stakeholders to deliver at scale with speed, ensuring the right geographical front-/back-office mix.
  • Optimize development processes, maintenance and performance by reusing proven solutions (internal / external).
  • Collaborate and coordinate with innovation teams to orchestrate the industrialization of 'new' technology capabilities into one or more agile teams.

  • Safeguard the quality of input (right to refuse input) as a professional and to assure the quality and timely delivery of agreed output of his/her work.
  • Challenge business requirements and request for activities and deliverables in order to obtain deep understanding of the request.
  • Apply design thinking methodology in projects to ensure great customer experiences.
  • Engage higher management levels in discussions on content, application of standards, project approaches etc. if full agreement cannot be reached in a timely manner.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Degree in Applied Computer Sciences with experience in SCM processes.
  • Min. 10 years of experience in information technology within the SCM domain or similar experience.
  • Experience with SAP ERP (Integrated Business Planning, Global Trade Services, Warehouse Management, a.o integrated business planning).
  • Demonstrated hands-on approach with strong ownership and leadership skills.
  • Understands information architecture (data, process and IT) and industry best practices.
  • Knows the business processes to a high level of detail that run in the SCM domain.
  • General knowledge on the peripheral functional/technology domains.
  • Collaboration skills to orchestrate activities with diverse stakeholders with adequate sense of urgency and to share insights with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills (English) including the ability to relate to various levels in the organization, through presentation, discussion and/or virtual engagements.
  • Enabling/servant leader skills to utilize his/her team to the max.
  • A drive and curiosity for new technologies and innovations in the fast-moving supply market with constant changes and new technologies (Mobility, Analytics, Internet of Things, cloud computing).
  • Experience in managing internal and external service providers.
  • You can work independently within strict deadlines and are comfortable managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
