About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our mRNA Business Unit as the Head of Program Management and Supply Chain. This is a unique opportunity to join a global leader in life sciences and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that improve lives around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the mRNA Site Program Management team and ensure the flawless coordination of site portfolio execution.
  • Develop and manage the site's program management resources, including allocation to new projects and handover from proposals/commercial development.
  • Ensure adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards, including data integrity excellence in Planview.
  • Understand and manage the site's financials, including target and outlook generation and review.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all required PM data and KPIs.
  • Connect strongly with the mRNA Business Unit, leading by example in cultivating positive, collaborative working relationships with commercial development, business development, sales, proposals, account management, and biologics supply chain.
  • Act as a core member of the mRNA asset Leadership Team and represent the program management team at BU level.
  • Manage customer programs, ensuring delivery and execution according to Lonza and the customer's expectations.
  • Understand customer needs and represent their interests by acting as their advocate on-site.
  • Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams and hold team members accountable to deliver.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the life of the program through collaborative relationship management with AM/Sales.
  • Develop, manage, communicate, and plan effectively to ensure alignment with a clear understanding of strategic and supply operational goals for the Technology Platform.
  • Ensure efficient and effective SC business partnering between Commercial and Operations, coordination on supply & demand, and ownership of global divisional Sales & Operations Plan.
  • Define planning and replenishment configurations and support a manufacturing supply strategy end-to-end (from API to finished product).
  • Assist in the launch of new products by using a design-to-value approach that integrates customer needs and supplier insights into the supply chain.
  • Responsible for the management of escalation for potential supply issues and ensuring bottleneck management, product allocation are implemented, in collaboration with Commercial and Operations to ensure no customer impact.
  • Responsible for inventory management plans ensuring they are in line with the Biologics strategy and financial plans, facilitating the Inventory evolution over the long-term horizon.
  • Responsible for the implementation and execution of supply chain ownership of BU-wide S&OP governances and MPS governances.
  • Establish and operate x-BU supply chain processes, particularly with Business Units DPS. Enable integrated planning and inter-company shipments.
  • Responsible for the performance reporting that enables assessment of past performance and prepares the organization by anticipating the future for pro-active and decision-making. Improve the supply chain parameters to enhance supply productivity improvements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in life sciences or business or engineering.
  • Fluent in English.
  • PMP or relevant PM certification, APIC certification.
  • Highly experienced in Life Sciences, CDMO / Pharma / Biotech companies.
  • Advanced experience in various supply chain functions related to operations management, production or technology management.
  • Advanced experience in program management.
