NIBC is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Officer to join our Compliance & Regulatory Affairs department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's compliance with regulatory requirements and laws.
Your RoleAs a Regulatory Affairs Officer, you will be responsible for analyzing complex regulatory texts and their impact on NIBC. Your tasks will include:
- Tracking relevant regulatory developments using regulatory change management tooling;
- Assessing the legal impact of financial regulatory laws and supporting colleagues in assessing operational impact;
- Assisting with the implementation of new regulatory changes;
- Supporting the running of NIBC's Regulatory Expert Network;
- Contributing to reporting on regulatory change to senior management and the Regulatory Change Committee;
- Providing ad-hoc legal regulatory advice to management and departments within the bank.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree in law, preferably with a specialization in financial regulatory law;
- At least 3 years of experience in a comparable position in the financial industry, a law firm, or a financial regulatory authority;
- Good knowledge of Dutch and EU financial laws and regulations;
- Experience with making impact assessments and translating laws and regulations into practical advice;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work in a team and build relationships with colleagues across the bank.
