About the Role
The Financial Controller will play a key role in the month-end closing process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and management information. This position requires strong accounting and analytical skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end closing process, including accruals and provisions, review of P&L and Balance Sheet, and analysis of fluctuations compared to forecast and prior periods.
- Prepare and assist with audits, ensuring compliance with government regulations and preparing reports as required.
- Monitor changes in regulations and compile reports on compliance issues, standards, and accounting practices.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of forecasts and business cases.
- Act as a finance business partner, providing proactive advice to management on finance and business topics.
- Focus on monitoring financial processes, cost control, margin development, and maintaining internal control of business finance.

The Ideal Candidate
You will bring strength and physical stamina to the job, be able to cope with complex problems, and work well with others. You will have the following competences:
- HBO work and thinking level
- Bachelor- or Master-level degree in accounting/Finance
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Excellent understanding of reporting and accounting regulations- IFRS, Dutch GAAP
- Strong desktop computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position and preferably in an international service industry
- You are independently able to set priorities and pick up the work.
