About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join our Journey to Cloud tribe at SWIFT, responsible for driving the adoption of Alliance Cloud as the customer default for utilizing our SWIFT platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain our DevOps pipeline using proven technologies such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Ansible to ensure 24/7 availability and resiliency for our customers.
  • Work on an application distributed across multiple data centers with an architecture based on micro-services and synchronous replication.
  • Develop and maintain software architecture, development, quality assurance, deployment, and security expertise as a DevOps engineer.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by implementing proper data validation and access controls.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Prepare, test, present for review, and execute changes in Production, requiring physical presence in the office at least 2 days a week.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps technologies, tools, and trends to suggest improvements and drive innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Autonomous, empowered with the ability to drive, adapt, and respond to change.
  • Customer-oriented and quality-minded.
  • Open-minded, solutions-oriented, and a team player.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in Agile way of working is an asset.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of large-scale distributed application frameworks (Kafka, Zookeeper).
  • Knowledge of Linux OS (RedHat).
  • Knowledge of continuous delivery process and technologies (Cloudbees, GIT, Maven, Jira, Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, OpenShift, Ansible, ArgoCD).
  • Knowledge of databases (Elastic Search, Oracle, JDBC, H2, JPA) and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, XML (schema, XSLT), Python.
  • Familiar with Java-related development and ability to work with Java developers.
  • Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault is a plus.
