Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex regulatory texts and assessing their impact on NIBC. As part of the team, you will track relevant regulatory developments using regulatory change management tooling, assess the legal impact of financial regulatory laws, assist with implementation of new regulatory changes, support the running of NIBC's Regulatory Expert Network, contribute to reporting on regulatory change to senior management and the Regulatory Change Committee, and provide ad-hoc legal regulatory advice to management/various departments within the bank on conduct related regulation.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a master degree in law (preferably with a specialization in financial regulatory law) and at least 3 years of working experience in a comparable position in the financial industry, a law firm or within a financial regulatory authority. You should have good knowledge of Dutch and EU financial laws & regulations, experience with making impact assessments, ability to translate laws and regulations into practical and understandable advice and/or policies, general knowledge of the banking industry and the products and services offered by NIBC, analytical mind and attention to detail, pragmatic approach, good verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English, ability to simplify complex matters, strong interpersonal skills, ability to build up an internal network, able to understand and find solutions when faced with conflicting opinions and interests, team player and hands-on mentality with a positive mindset, and high personal ethical standards.
