SES, a leading global satellite operator, is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Legal & Regulatory team in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Estimated Salary: €25,000 - €35,000 per annum
Job Description:
The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for supporting licensing and government relations activities that facilitate the deployment of SES's satellite connectivity solutions in the EMEA region. This will involve interacting with national decision-makers and regulators, tracking satellite regulatory conditions applicable in countries of the region, and helping to obtain the authorizations to provide service.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on market access requirements as well as licensing procedures and conditions applicable to SES satellite services
- Interact with SES Sales and Engineering teams to respond to their needs to serve targeted priority countries of the region
- Obtain licenses and access rights to operate in the targeted priority countries
- Monitor and assess EU-level directives and regulations for application to SES business
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong interest in global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular. You must currently be a student in Space Law with background on ITU Radio Regulations and familiarity with latest telecommunications industry developments (5G, Cloud). Strong computer literacy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) is also essential. Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset (notably French and Arabic) is required.
