Job Summary:
The EMEA Trade Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S., E.U., and local regulations related to import and export controls. This role will involve monitoring shipments, resolving customs-related issues, and supporting the Global Trade Compliance Program for all Envista sites in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor shipments subject to import and export controls to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Resolve customs-related issues in a timely manner.
- Support the development and deployment of company policies and processes related to Trade Compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective global trade network resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' experience in Law or International business.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting export and import rules and regulations.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Working knowledge of export regulations related to denied party screening, export licensing, trade sanctions, and embargoes.
- Dual Use regulations including, but not limited to, 428/2009, export Control Classification Number (ECCN), and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Availability to go on-site minimum two times per week and as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multiple years' experience in export and import operations and/or freight forwarder/broker operations as licensed customs broker.
