Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and operation of our site electrical systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform electrical audits and tests to identify and diagnose electrical problems.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the distribution of structured cabling, audio-visual distribution, and UPS sources.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international legislation and alignment to company rules and regulations.
  • Manage and maintain equipment, building, and infrastructure documentation, including up-to-date drawings, specifications, operating instructions, inspections, certification, and maintenance records.
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure the removal of defects and close out actions related to electrical systems in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Technical (min. MBO level 4) electrical or energy technology diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong business digital literacy, MS Office package, and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient Dutch and English communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform electrical audits, tests, read results, and diagnose and repair electrical problems.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with SCIOS scope 8, 9, 10, and 12 and/or in possession of certificates.
  • Experience with Installation Responsibility and hold an IV/WV certificate.
