Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Sonoco, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes. Your duties will include:
- Verifying measurements and declaring QA documents with your signature.
- Performing line checks and making and recording measurements in accordance with QA protocols.
- Collecting reference samples and releasing or blocking production as necessary.
- Preparing blockage reports and communicating with the QA Manager.
- Participating in quality assurance projects and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Training and instructing employees on QA protocols and measurement tools.
- Supervising test sprays and validations and reporting findings to the QA Manager.
- Ensuring adequate quality control of assigned product groups.
- Identifying and advising on reduced quality or impending deterioration.
- Participating in work meetings and following company regulations and plant policy.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Good knowledge of measurement techniques and MS-Office.
- A diploma in quality execution or a similar education.
- Minimum MBO working and/or thinking level.
Behavior and Skills
We are looking for a proactive, creative, and reliable individual who is able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and external parties. You should have good knowledge of the English language in word and writing, as well as thorough knowledge of measurement techniques.
