Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversight and Coordination: Provide support for the oversight and coordination of control activities across multiple entities in compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and Corporate Policies.
  2. Accounting Activities: Manage closing activities, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and tax reporting. Oversee third-party activities related to general accounting.
  3. Statutory Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities are in line with external reporting and statutory compliance matters.
  4. Control Environment: Own the actuals reporting, financial statement analysis, reconciliation reviews, and statutory reporting. Maintain full control environment for SOX reportable entities including quarterly certification requirements.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with third-party shared services and other service providers (e.g., Genpact, Accenture, EY, PWC). Communicate and influence key Business Partners, Controllers, Finance Leads, and external parties.
  6. Financial and Internal Control: Identify, communicate, and resolve financial and internal control matters. Provide support and coordinate with Global Tax, internal and external auditors, and service providers.
  7. Local Compliance and Tax Matters: Oversee all local compliance and tax matters, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
  8. Support Business Initiatives: Engage in key projects and strategic initiatives while managing complex accounting activities. Support Business Unit Controllership Leaders with key initiatives and BU focus items.
Requirements
  1. Experience in financial control and accounting, preferably within a European environment.
  2. Strong understanding of US GAAP and local GAAP.
  3. Experience with statutory reporting and compliance matters.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  6. Willingness to occasionally travel to the office in Germany.
