Job Summary

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Associate to join its Office of Confidentiality and Security (OCS). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of the Operations Security Section's electronic security management systems and information management resources.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of electronic security and other physical security systems and infrastructure supporting the physical security program at all OPCW premises, ensuring established objectives are met.
  • Advise and make recommendations in the formulation of goals and objectives of the OSS physical security programme, particularly with regards to electronic security and information management systems.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the Operations Security Section, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff members, delegates, visitors, and assets.
  • Design, build, and support SharePoint applications for OSS operations, providing real-time information to OCS management regarding security processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Certified ASIS Physical Security Professional or similar certification.
  • At least 9 years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
  • Experience working within the UN Security Management System is desirable.

Team Work: Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals; solicits input by genuinely valuing others' ideas and expertise.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is essential. Desirable to have Dutch language skills at the B2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
