Job Title: Senior Power Origination Specialist

VARO Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Origination Specialist to join our team in Rotterdam. As a key member of our origination team, you will be responsible for identifying and contacting power/renewable energy users in the Netherlands and Germany, assessing their needs, and structuring tailored contracts to achieve volume and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and contact power/renewable energy users, mainly in the Netherlands and Germany, and assess how they can benefit from our trading and forecasting infrastructure.
  • Structure the terms and conditions in close cooperation with analytical teams and the portfolio manager.
  • Negotiate and conclude tailored contracts to achieve volume and margin targets within a lean and organization setting.
  • Research and identify market opportunities and threats in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team with complementary skill sets to share insights and further develop business opportunities.
  • Proactively prioritize competing business demands to be efficient and gain the highest return and value.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English is a must. German is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of working experience in the European power sector.
  • Master's degree with a good academic record in business or a technical background.
  • Ability to oversee complexity and make appropriate business propositions.
  • Basic experience with origination/structured deals.
  • Commercial feeling with an analytical mindset.
