Barge Operations Specialist

VARO Energy is a dynamic and fast-growing company in the energy sector, with a strong focus on the energy transition. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Barge Operations Specialist to join our Supply Chain team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of the terminal supply schedule, ensuring timely communication and flawless implementation.
- Liaise daily with logistic service providers and terminals to inform them of load and discharge schedules.
- Collaborate closely with traders regarding contract positions and send nominations to suppliers, ensuring that operations align with commercial expectations.
- Manage the accurate processing of Bill of Ladings and Certificates of Analysis to ensure compliance and documentation consistency.
- Monitor and ensure data consistency between JDE and Vista, initiating master data updates and corrections related to barge operations.
Requirements:
- Educated to at least MBO level, ideally in a commercial or logistics discipline.
- Experienced with ERP systems and a background or strong interest in oil trading, particularly with an understanding of its financial implications.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English required and knowledge of German a plus.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing complex logistics and data processing tasks with precision.
