Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Master General Cargo to join our team at Oceanwide. As a Master General Cargo, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently navigating the vessel, leading and motivating the onboard crew, and ensuring the smooth execution of operational tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the ship's personnel and ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations on board.
- Operating the ship in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and laws.
- Maintaining communication with shore authorities and other vessels.
- Supervising cargo loading, transportation, and unloading.
- Coordinating with the on-duty chief engineer to resolve any operational or technical issues.
- Reporting to the shipping company about the voyage progress and incidents.
Requirements:
- Mandatory certifications like STCW.
- Unlimited Master license.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Master.
- Excellent navigation and leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of maritime laws and regulations.
- Good command of the English language, verbal and written.
- A positive, proactive approach towards the crew.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
