Lead Technical Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Artist to join our team at Vertigo Games. As a key member of our art and tech teams, you will be responsible for researching and implementing new tools and techniques to stay at the forefront of VR development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive improvements and maintain the toolchain for art asset creation and optimization.
- Innovate on techniques in asset creation to achieve the best visual results from the target platform.
- Lead high-level art-related decisions throughout the development cycle.
- Train other artists in best practices, tools, and processes.
- Lead a team of up to 4 Technical Artists, planning their work and monitoring their performance.
Requirements:
- A solid understanding of rendering theory from cutting-edge console to mobile.
- Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5, from blueprinting to materials and shaders.
- Expertise in optimization for both high-end and mobile, from profiling to rolling out content fixes.
- Experience in managing people and a willingness to aid other technical artists in their growth.
