The Senior Electrical Systems Engineer will concentrate on the amalgamation of power, navigation, alarm, and monitoring systems, taking a pivotal role in the engineering workflow. This position involves collaboration with engineering partners and maintaining communication with stakeholders including clients, suppliers, and shipyards.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting functional descriptions and technical specifications for electrical systems and equipment, as well as evaluating supplier specifications;
- Developing initial one-line diagrams, load distributions, panel layouts, and cable tray configurations;
- Coordinating and overseeing interfaces and system integrations with various disciplines and collaborators;
- Managing the technical and organizational scope of multiple projects, engaging with diverse engineering teams;
- Establishing and guiding an engineering team for each project, supervising one or more Electrical & Automation Engineers;
- Assisting national authorities, classification societies, and clients throughout the approval process.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience;
- Proficient communication skills in English, with Dutch language skills being a plus;
- Experience in the functional development of Electrification and/or Control and Monitoring systems;
- Results-driven, proactive, with strong management capabilities and patience.
