About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team at Deutsche Windtechnik B.V. in the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on wind turbines, adhering to Deutsche Windtechnik B.V. instructions.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of technicians to ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Replace major turbine components, such as generators and gearboxes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in site operations, inspections, root cause analyses, and failure diagnostics.
  • Establish and maintain general safety protocols.
  • Complete relevant paperwork, including work order cards, checklists, and work permits.
  • Report all works and incidents according to Deutsche Windtechnik B.V. procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant mid-level electrical education (MBO 3 or 4 diploma or equivalent work experience).
  • Three years of electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial environment, preferably in wind farms, power stations, or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments.
  • Converter experience (GE, Woodward) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience with low and high voltage and completion of the NEN3140 and NEN 3180 courses.
  • Good command of the English language in writing and speaking.
  • Awareness of safety, health, and environmental importance in all work.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Experience with laptop and MS software.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Practical and solution-oriented mentality.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various times and places.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
